Product Owner - Capital Markets / Interest Rate Derivatives (Ref: 191572)

Our client is a private equity-backed fintech transforming how financial institutions manage risk and derivatives. Their platform integrates trade analysis, risk management, and front-office innovation with middle-office and back-office workflows, delivering efficiency and insight across interest rate, FX, and commodity products.

They are seeking a senior Product Owner and subject matter expert in interest rate derivatives to join the product team. This is a critical, high-impact role that requires deep domain knowledge, capable of driving roadmap initiatives to completion with autonomy, precision, and credibility across front-office and middle-office workflows.

·       Translate strategic product goals into epics, user stories, and detailed Jira tickets, ensuring clarity, business value, and alignment with client needs.

·       Drive backlog management, sprint planning, grooming sessions, and PI planning with development teams.

·       Collaborate with PMs, developers, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.

·       Assess the impact of initiatives on client experience, risk management, and operational efficiency.

·       Communicate progress, blockers, and outcomes to internal stakeholders.

·       10+ years of experience in product management or product ownership within financial services.

·       Deep subject matter expertise in interest rate derivatives is essential; FX and commodities knowledge a plus.

·       Proven track record of delivering initiatives autonomously in a fast-paced, Agile environment.

·       Strong familiarity with the SDLC and development team collaboration.

·       Comfortable writing and managing detailed Jira tickets, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

·       Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical and financial concepts into actionable plans.

·       Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degrees a plus.
