Job DescriptionThe Senior Graph Database Data Engineer will design, deploy, and scale a robust graph data platform that supports analytics and AI-enabled product features. You will craft resilient graph infrastructure, optimize data pipelines, and implement advanced traversal strategies. Collaboration with Data, Engineering, and Product teams is essential to align the platform with the organization’s knowledge-graph strategy, security requirements, and production readiness.
Key Responsibilities- Design and optimize graph database architectures, prioritizing production readiness (Cosmos DB preferred; experience with Neo4j or Amazon Neptune is advantageous)
- Construct scalable data pipelines tailored to graph workloads
- Develop and tuneGremlin-based queries and traversal patterns for enterprise use
- Collaborate with cross-functional squads to embed graph technology into live systems
- Monitor and enhance performance, reliability, and security of graph platforms
- Lead data modeling and governance efforts within graph-centric ecosystems
- Offer technical guidance and participate in architectural governance and decisions
- Operate within a fast-moving Series A setting with a product-centric mindset
Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent)
- 7+ years in Data Engineering or related roles with hands-on graph database experience
- Proven track record building and operating production graph databases
- Strong SQL and data modeling skills; familiarity with distributed systems
- Excellent communication and proactive problem-solving abilities
