about the roleAbout Us
Our client is a rapidly scaling, AI-enabled fintech company reshaping how institutional participants access and analyse debt capital markets. In an asset class measured in the trillions, legacy workflows remain heavily manual and fragmented.
Our client has built a unified platform that combines proprietary data, analytics and workflow tools to modernise how leading financial institutions operate.
Their client base spans global banks, asset managers, private equity firms and advisory businesses. With strong retention, expanding US presence and clear product-market fit, the business is entering its next phase of international growth.
Job DescriptionOur client is appointing their first VP of Marketing to design and lead a commercially driven marketing organisation.
This is a builder role with significant executive exposure. The successful candidate will take ownership of market positioning, pipeline creation and revenue contribution across multiple customer segments and geographies.
The product serves sophisticated financial audiences, so the ability to distil complex capabilities into sharp, differentiated messaging will be essential. This role requires hands-on execution as well as strategic leadership.

Architect scalable demand programs focused on high-value enterprise accounts
Develop and execute a structured account-based strategy targeting priority institutions

Market Positioning and Narrative
Craft a clear and differentiated value proposition in a competitive financial technology landscape
Translate complex product functionality into compelling executive-level messaging
Lead launch strategy for new products, features and workflow enhancements
Provide Sales with high-impact enablement materials including competitive insights and case-led proof points
Integrated Growth Programs
Design cohesive, multi-channel campaigns spanning digital, content, partnerships and industry events
Ensure activity is campaign-led and funnel-oriented rather than siloed tactics
Continuously evaluate channel effectiveness and optimise investment toward measurable outcomes
Revenue Accountability and Insight
Partner with RevOps to define funnel stages, performance metrics and shared targets
Build reporting frameworks that demonstrate marketing’s influence on opportunity creation and closed revenue
Use data and attribution insights to refine strategy and eliminate low-performing initiatives
Team Development and Executive Partnership
Recruit and lead a lean, high-performing marketing team
Leverage specialist agencies and partners where appropriate
Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and commercial leadership team on go-to-market priorities
Contribute to annual planning across budget allocation, headcount strategy and major growth initiatives
RequirementsExtensive experience leading marketing within a growth-stage B2B technology company serving enterprise clients
Demonstrated success scaling revenue through structured pipeline generation rather than purely brand-led initiatives
Experience supporting complex sales cycles with multiple senior stakeholders and long deal timelines
Strong commercial acumen with comfort owning targets, forecasting impact and defending budget allocation at executive level
Background working alongside product and sales teams to refine messaging, pricing and go-to-market strategy
Analytical mindset with confidence interpreting funnel data, attribution models and performance metrics
Experience building and mentoring small teams while remaining directly involved in execution
Exposure to financial services, capital markets, data platforms or similarly sophisticated environments preferred
BenefitsBase salary of $225,000 to $275,000 + equity + performance bonus
25 days annual leave plus public holidays
Hybrid working model with flexibility
Opportunity to work abroad for up to three months annually
One-month paid sabbatical after five years of service
Enhanced parental leave and flexible working policies
Comprehensive health and retirement provision
OtherThis is a rare opportunity to establish and scale the marketing engine of a category-shaping fintech business at a pivotal stage of growth, with meaningful executive influence and global impact.
