Job DescriptionThe SAP Data Migration Lead will drive the complete data migration program from legacy ERP platforms, emphasizing SAP-centric activities within a global retail and manufacturing context. Responsibilities encompass strategic roadmap development, governance structures, and hands-on leadership to coordinate data extraction, cleansing, mapping, validation, and cutover execution. Close collaboration with business sponsors, IT peers, and external partners is required to safeguard data integrity, minimize migration risk, and ensure on-schedule achievement of program milestones.
Key Responsibilities- Formulate and oversee the data migration blueprint across SAP modules aligned with retail and manufacturing operations.
- Guide multidisciplinary teams through data profiling, cleansing, transformation, and validation cycles.
- Instituting data quality benchmarks, governance artifacts, and controls to confirm data readiness for migration.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring alignment with timelines and budgetary targets.
- Craft and execute cutover plans, testing frameworks, and rollback protocols.
- Provide concise, data-driven updates on status and risks to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Coach and elevate talent within the data migration and SAP squads to foster capability for future programs.
RequirementsSignificant track record leading SAP data migration initiatives in large-scale SAP ecosystems, ideally within retail or manufacturing domains.
Ability to translate business needs into concrete data migration specifications and artifacts.
Robust governance, risk mitigation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
Deep expertise in SAP data models, ETL tools, and data quality frameworks.
Experience with SAP S/4HANA transformations and harmonizing data across disparate systems.
Superior communication and influencing skills at executive levels.
