Scrum Master (Ref: 198072)

The Scrum Master will strengthen delivery discipline across Agile teams responsible for technology initiatives supporting a complex retail and distribution environment. This role will create the conditions for predictable progress by facilitating effective ways of working, improving transparency, resolving impediments, and keeping teams focused on agreed outcomes. Success will be measured through healthier team flow, clearer delivery forecasting, effective dependency management, and dependable release execution.

Working closely with Product, Engineering, Architecture, Quality Assurance, and business stakeholders, you will coordinate delivery from planning through deployment. The position includes responsibility for sprint and programme-level ceremonies, PI Planning, regression-test coordination, release readiness, deployment sequencing, and delivery reporting. A strong Scrum Master will combine confident facilitation with practical delivery oversight, using evidence and constructive challenge to help teams make sound decisions.

This is a visible role in Dubai for an experienced Agile practitioner who can operate across multiple workstreams without losing sight of team health or customer impact. You will promote continuous improvement, surface risks early, protect productive focus, and help translate strategic priorities into well-managed increments of value.

• Facilitate sprint planning, daily Scrum events, reviews, retrospectives, refinement sessions, and other Agile forums with clear outcomes.
• Guide teams in applying Scrum, SAFe, and complementary Agile practices consistently while adapting them to delivery context.
• Maintain delivery visibility by tracking progress, milestones, dependencies, risks, impediments, and decisions across active workstreams.
• Coordinate with Product, Architecture, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and business stakeholders to align priorities and execution plans.
• Support PI Planning by preparing inputs, clarifying objectives, mapping dependencies, and monitoring commitments through the increment.
• Organise regression-testing activity, ensuring scope, environments, defect ownership, and readiness criteria are clearly understood.
• Coordinate release planning and deployment activity, including readiness reviews, cutover dependencies, communications, and post-release follow-up.
• Use delivery measures such as velocity, burn-up or burndown, cycle time, defect trends, and release readiness to support informed action.
• Identify blockers early and drive them to resolution through escalation, structured problem-solving, and cross-team collaboration.
• Protect teams from uncontrolled scope changes while ensuring legitimate priority shifts are assessed and communicated transparently.
• Encourage continuous improvement by converting retrospective findings into owned actions with measurable follow-through.
• Provide concise status updates that distinguish delivery progress, emerging risk, business impact, and required decisions.

• Several years of experience serving as a Scrum Master, Agile Delivery Lead, Iteration Manager, or in a closely related delivery role.
• Strong practical knowledge of Scrum principles, Agile delivery methods, and the SAFe framework, including PI Planning.
• Demonstrated experience supporting cross-functional technology teams through planning, execution, testing, and release.
• Working knowledge of regression-testing coordination, defect lifecycle management, release governance, and deployment readiness.
• Proven ability to manage dependencies, delivery risks, competing priorities, and impediments across multiple teams or workstreams.
• Confidence facilitating senior stakeholder discussions and translating delivery information into clear decisions and actions.
• Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, or comparable platforms to manage backlogs, delivery information, and reporting.
• Ability to interpret delivery metrics and use them constructively to improve predictability, flow, and team performance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a pragmatic and respectful approach to challenge.
• A bachelor’s degree in information technology, business, engineering, or a related discipline is advantageous; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
