Senior DevOps Engineer (Ref: 197453)

Our client develops financial software for small and medium-sized enterprises, focusing on payroll, taxation and accounting automation across European markets.

The Senior DevOps Engineer will lead the design and operation of cloud infrastructure that supports mission-critical financial services. The role requires ownership of deployment pipelines, system reliability, security posture and operational excellence for backend services used by finance teams.

• Architect and operate scalable cloud infrastructure with emphasis on security and resilience
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for multiple service teams
• Develop and enforce infrastructure-as-code standards and modules
• Lead incident response and post-incident analysis to improve system uptime
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to enable rapid, safe releases
• Build and maintain observability and alerting systems aligned with SLOs
• Drive cost optimisation and capacity planning

• Minimum 5 years experience in DevOps, SRE or cloud engineering roles
• Hands-on experience with AWS or GCP at scale
• Proficiency with Kubernetes and container workflows
• Strong Terraform or equivalent IaC experience
• Proven history of managing CI/CD tools and pipelines
• Experience with monitoring, logging and tracing tools and SLO practices
• Familiarity with security controls, secret management and compliance
• Excellent English communication skills; German proficiency advantageous
