A well-established, premium consumer products business with a strong heritage and global customer base is seeking a Group Compliance & Quality Assurance Manager to lead compliance, audit and quality governance across its product portfolio and international supply chain.
Job DescriptionYou will take ownership of product compliance, factory auditing and quality governance, ensuring robust systems and processes are in place to manage legislative requirements, supplier standards and product quality throughout the lifecycle.
This is a hands-on, operational role, ideal for someone from a textiles or consumer product environment who understands regulated supply chains, manufacturing processes and certification frameworks.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Compliance & Legislative Management
Ensure products comply with UK, EU and international regulations including chemical, material, labelling and safety requirements
Monitor, interpret and implement new and existing legislation
Maintain product compliance documentation and technical files
Act as the subject matter expert for customer-required compliance standards and retailer codes of practice
Factory & Audit Management
Lead and manage technical, ethical, environmental and social audits across owned sites and external suppliers
Oversee audit programmes including SEDEX/SMETA, ISO, FSC, PEFC, OEKO-TEX and GOTS
Drive audit readiness and corrective action plans
Ensure consistent audit standards and reporting across suppliers and manufacturing partners
Quality & Technical Governance
Own and continuously improve quality management systems
Ensure compliance across the full product lifecycle from raw material sourcing through to finished goods
Work closely with product development, sourcing and manufacturing teams to embed compliance and quality at design stage
Provide technical guidance and training across the business
Sustainability & Responsible Sourcing
Embed compliance-led sustainability practices across products and supply chains
Support responsible sourcing and certification management
Ensure alignment with environmental, social and ethical standards
RequirementsProven background in product compliance and regulatory standards
Experience managing factory and supplier audits
Knowledge of customer-required compliance frameworks
Understanding of textile materials, manufacturing processes and global supply chains
Working knowledge of sustainability, responsible sourcing and certification frameworks
Ability to interpret legislation and translate it into practical operational processes
