Job DescriptionWe are searching for an Engineering Manager to helm a high-performing engineering function within a busy manufacturing site. The role emphasizes reliability, safety, and efficiency, while steering continuous improvement across mechanical and electrical disciplines. You will implement robust maintenance strategies, manage costs, and oversee projects that support production targets and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Enhance asset reliability and reduce unplanned downtime through proactive maintenance and data‑driven decision making.
- Steer planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programs to maximize equipment availability.
- Elevate health, safety, and regulatory compliance across the site.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve engineering issues with durable, long‑term remedies.
- Manage project delivery with a focus on timely, within-budget execution and risk mitigation.
- Drive productivity gains and product quality through targeted engineering interventions.
- Cultivate a capable, high‑performing engineering team with coaching and succession planning.
- Oversee engineering spend and supplier relationships to safeguard cost and schedule.
Requirements- Demonstrated experience in an Engineering Manager or senior engineering position within a manufacturing environment.
- Solid mechanical and/or electrical engineering expertise.
- Proven leadership of maintenance teams, PPM, and breakdown response.
- Proficiency in reliability engineering, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong awareness of health and safety and engineering compliance requirements.
