Forsyth Barnes has been exclusively retained by a leading international manufacturing organisation to appoint a Chief Information & Digital Transformation Officer (CIDTO) to lead one of the most significant business transformation programmes in the organisation’s history.
This is a strategic executive appointment that combines the responsibilities of a Chief Information Officer, Digital Transformation Leader, Enterprise Transformation Executive, and ERP Programme Sponsor.
The successful candidate will take ownership of a multi-year global transformation programme focused on establishing standardised business processes, harmonised data foundations, and a unified technology ecosystem across multiple international operations.
The role will move beyond successful ERP deployment and will be responsible for ensuring technology investments translate into measurable operational improvements, sustainable organisational capability, and long-term business value.
Job DescriptionThe organisation is currently undertaking a large-scale enterprise transformation centred around the deployment of a new global ERP platform, manufacturing execution systems (MES), and a modern digital operating model.
As the programme transitions from design and implementation into global deployment and adoption, the business requires a permanent executive leader to provide continuity across technology operations, transformation delivery, process governance, data strategy, and digital innovation.
The CIDTO will play a critical role in shaping the future operating model of the organisation, ensuring technology, data, people, and processes are aligned to support ambitious growth plans.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnology Leadership
Own the Group technology function, including:
Technology strategy and roadmap
Enterprise architecture
Infrastructure and cloud services
Cybersecurity and risk management
Business applications landscape
IT service delivery and support
Strategic supplier and partner management
Technology investment and budget ownership
Enterprise Transformation & ERP Leadership
Provide executive ownership for the successful global delivery of the enterprise transformation programme, including:
Global programme governance
Deployment strategy across multiple countries and manufacturing sites
Executive stakeholder engagement
Implementation partner management
Budget and risk ownership
Benefits realisation and value creation
Business Process Excellence
Lead the ongoing harmonisation and governance of global end-to-end business processes, including:
Order-to-Cash
Procure-to-Pay
Record-to-Report
Plan-to-Produce
Supply Chain and Logistics
Quality and Asset Management
Master Data Management
Drive continuous improvement and the adoption of scalable operating models across the organisation.
Data, Analytics & Digital Innovation
Establish the organisation’s long-term digital capability, including:
Enterprise data governance
Master data strategy
Business intelligence and analytics capability
Digital innovation roadmap
Identification and adoption of AI use cases delivering measurable business value
Change Leadership & Adoption
Lead the transformation adoption agenda across the global organisation, ensuring new ways of working are embedded through:
Executive communications
Training and capability development
Change management strategies
Adoption measurement
Benefits tracking and value realisation
RequirementsWe are seeking a commercially minded technology and transformation executive who can operate at Board and Executive Committee level.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Significant leadership experience across technology and enterprise transformation environments
A proven track record delivering complex, multi-country ERP transformation programmes
Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, consumer goods, or supply-chain intensive organisations
The ability to lead large technology and transformation functions
Strong stakeholder management and organisational change capability
Experience developing data, analytics, and digital strategies
A track record of translating technology investment into measurable business outcomes
Experience within private equity-backed environments and complex international manufacturing operations would be highly advantageous.
