Job DescriptionWe are seeking a seasoned Manager, Data Science to helm a Customer Data Science cadre for our client in the retail arena. The role blends strategic influence with practical execution across predictive modeling, customer analytics, and key commercial initiatives. The selected candidate will architect data-enabled strategies, accelerate customer growth, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to maximize business value.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and expand a data science team focused on customer analytics and predictive modeling.
- Collaborate with business leaders to convert analytics into actionable plans that boost revenue and engagement.
- Own CLV, segmentation, and predictive models end-to-end—from data prep to deployment.
- Guide and mentor the team, fostering experimentation and scalable, production-ready solutions.
- Partner with IT, data engineering, and marketing to ensure governance and adoption of models across the organization.
- Communicate findings to senior stakeholders with compelling storytelling and business impact framing.
- Monitor advances in AI/LLM and assess relevance to customer analytics programs.
Requirements- 5+ years leading data science teams with hands-on analytics experience.
- Proven track record in retail or consumer analytics, focused on customer insights.
- Strong SQL and Python skills; experience with BI tools like Power BI or equivalents.
- Expertise in CLV, segmentation, and predictive customer modeling.
- Outstanding stakeholder management and communication, capable of influencing at executive levels.
- Familiarity with AI/LLM initiatives is advantageous.
- Hybrid role in Irving, TX with 3–4 days on-site.
