Job Descriptiondedicated System Administrator / Cloud Administrator to support the migration of remaining on-premise workloads into Azure.
The current internal team is focused on BAU activity, so this person will be brought in specifically to support the migration project and ensure remaining servers and applications are moved successfully into the Azure environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport migration of on-premise servers and applications into Azure
Assess existing on-prem workloads and prepare them for cloud migration
Work across both Hyper-V and Azure infrastructure environments
Support infrastructure migration planning, execution and troubleshooting
Ensure workloads are migrated with minimal disruption to existing services
Work closely with the infrastructure team and managed service partner where required
Provide hands-on technical support throughout the migration lifecycle
Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, CompTIA) preferred.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in system administration, cloud infrastructure, or a similar role.
- Strong command of Linux/Windows administration, scripting (PowerShell, Bash), and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid expertise in security controls, IAM, encryption, backups, and disaster recovery planning.
- Exceptional problem-solving, written and verbal communication, and the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
