Job DescriptionThe Product Owner will steer the product vision for a suite of digital insurance and finance solutions used by brokers, underwriters and internal teams. The role requires defining strategic roadmaps, prioritising features by customer value and commercial return, and coordinating cross-functional delivery to achieve timely, high-quality releases.
Key Responsibilities- Set and maintain the product roadmap for multiple digital offerings within insurance and finance.
- Engage stakeholders across sales, underwriting, operations and compliance to capture requirements and secure alignment.
- Create detailed backlog items, user stories and acceptance criteria to guide development.
- Collaborate with UX and research teams to validate assumptions and refine user journeys.
- Use performance metrics and customer feedback to iterate product improvements.
- Coordinate release planning, manage inter-team dependencies and support commercial launches.
- Embed regulatory and risk controls into product decision-making.
Requirements- Demonstrable experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager within insurance, finance or related professional services.
- Track record of working with cross-functional teams including delivery, design, data and commercial stakeholders.
- Strong backlog management, user story authoring and prioritisation skills.
- Data-literate with experience using metrics to inform product choices.
- Excellent stakeholder communication, negotiation and facilitation abilities.
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks affecting insurance and financial products.
