Job DescriptionThe role of IT & Data Governance Director involves leading the development and execution of comprehensive data governance frameworks and IT policies within this organization. This key position is focused on bolstering data integrity, ensuring compliance and security, and enabling the organization to effectively utilize its data assets in support of strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the creation of data governance strategies and frameworks that adhere to regulatory standards and industry best practices.
- Oversee the rollout of IT policies aimed at enhancing data security and ensuring compliance.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to enhance data literacy and promote awareness of governance processes.
- Manage and guide a group of data governance professionals, instilling a culture of continual advancement.
- Perform regular evaluations of data management practices and propose improvements.
- Act as the key contact for all data governance-related queries and projects.
- Keep informed about industry trends and regulatory changes impacting data governance.
Requirements- Demonstrated expertise in IT governance, risk management, or data management, ideally within the banking or financial services sectors.
- Thorough understanding of data governance frameworks and methodologies.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities, capable of influencing stakeholders across various levels.
- Experience with compliance regulations related to data management.
- Proficiency in analyzing complex data to provide strategic perspectives.
- Preferred certifications in governance or data management (e.g., CISM, CDMP).
