Network Technician (Ref: 188580)

This role is hands-on and field-based, focused on ensuring the seamless integration of Global’s advertising systems with TfL’s network architecture. You'll be a key player in configuring and verifying IP schemes, managing port setups, and ensuring that everything communicates exactly as it should.

• Review and validate IP addressing and port configurations between Global and TfL systems

• Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues on-site, ensuring reliable system communication

• Liaise with both internal teams and TfL technical contacts to troubleshoot and align network architecture

• Perform system health checks, monitor uptime, and proactively manage any risks to connectivity

• Travel to TfL depots/stations, including during night shifts on a rotating basis

• Ensure all work is carried out in line with TfL security and compliance protocols

• Strong knowledge of IP schemes, subnets, gateways, VLANs, and port configuration

• Confident in identifying misconfigurations and proposing fixes in real-time

• Ability to interpret and work within complex public sector infrastructure and data environments

• Experience with physical network environments (routers, switches, patch panels, etc.)

• Comfortable working autonomously during night shifts when required

• Flexible, technically astute, and hands-on

• Shift-based: One week of night shifts followed by one week off

• Requires flexibility for both day and night work depending on installation or maintenance schedules
