A rapidly scaling food manufacturing business is seeking an Interim Finance & Operations Transformation Lead to help stabilize the organization during a period of transition. Following significant growth and the commissioning of a new production facility, the company requires an experienced interim leader to strengthen financial visibility, optimize profitability, and guide short-term cash and operational discipline.
This is a hands-on, high-impact assignment suited to an experienced finance transformation or FP&A professional with strong manufacturing expertise and the ability to build data-driven insights from the ground up.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement a 13-week rolling cashflow forecast with weekly variance tracking.
Build detailed SKU- and customer-level profitability models, incorporating material, labor, overhead, and logistics costs.
Create a weekly operating performance dashboard, tracking gross margin, cash position, mix variance, and plant efficiency.
Partner with leadership to identify unprofitable SKUs and customers, and support portfolio rationalization decisions.
Collaborate with sales and operations to validate the company’s core product lines for profitable scale.
Drive working capital improvement initiatives, including collections acceleration, vendor term renegotiations, and inventory discipline.
Tighten labor cost control through yield, overtime, and scrap analysis.
Establish governance rhythms, providing concise financial insights and progress updates to the CFO, CEO, and executive team.
Prepare and present board-level reporting packs summarizing financial health, portfolio performance, and turnaround progress.
Support planning for the new production facility relaunch, ensuring alignment with profitability and efficiency goals.
RequirementsQualified Accountant
Proven background in financial transformation, turnaround management, or FP&A leadership.
Experience within manufacturing — ideally food production, consumer goods, or related industries.
Advanced Excel expertise essential (Power Query, array formulas, indirect references, advanced data modeling, data hygiene best practices).
Skilled in building SKU- and customer-level profitability and cost models.
Familiarity with SAP Business One preferred (not essential).
Strong understanding of cashflow management, cost control, and operational efficiency.
Confident communicator capable of influencing senior leadership and board stakeholders.
Highly independent, analytical, and execution-focused; able to deliver without close supervision.
