We are supporting a global financial services firm in the search for a VP Product Management, Payments Platform. This is a key hire within the firm’s Commercial & Investment Banking division - offering the chance to play a strategic role in developing and scaling cutting-edge payments infrastructure.
This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Jersey City, NJ. The salary range for this role is $150,000 - $200,000, plus performance-based bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
Job DescriptionThis role sits within a high-impact product team responsible for shaping the future of digital payments. You’ll drive the development of new product offerings across the end-to-end lifecycle - from discovery and ideation to launch and continuous improvement. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams across technology, sales, and operations to ensure products are scalable, resilient and built around real customer needs.
The ideal candidate will bring deep product management experience in the payments domain and be confident navigating complex, matrixed environments.
Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and evolve the product strategy and vision for the payments platform
Lead discovery efforts, market research and customer validation to inform roadmap planning
Own and manage the product backlog - prioritising features that support business goals and customer outcomes
Track and report on product success metrics including feature adoption, reliability, risk, and cost
Partner with engineering teams to deliver high-quality product releases on time and at scale
Collaborate with GTM teams and attend client sales meetings to represent the product
Act as an escalation point for client and internal product inquiries
Drive the delivery of new API features - from requirements and testing through to onboarding, documentation, and release
Requirements5+ years' experience in product management or a relevant domain
Strong understanding of the full product development lifecycle
Experience working with payments platforms or digital transaction systems
Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for business and client audiences
Comfortable operating in large, cross-functional teams with minimal supervision
Familiarity with API development and commercialisation is a strong plus
OtherThis role requires occasional client-facing engagement
Candidates must be based in or able to commute to Jersey City, NJ on a hybrid basis
