We are partnering with this organization to find a Senior Data Scientist who will be instrumental in enhancing their supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will utilize their expertise to analyze and optimize data across various business functions. This role includes engaging with stakeholders to convert complex data science methodologies into actionable insights that influence strategic decisions.

• Develop a comprehensive grasp of supply chain data, analyzing it to evaluate current operational efficiencies and identify potential areas for improvement.
• Communicate complex machine learning and data analysis solutions effectively to both leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Prioritize and manage workloads to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions in a timely manner, adhering to established standards and best practices.
• Exhibit exceptional written and verbal communication skills to convey data-driven insights clearly.
• Proficiently manipulate significant datasets and utilize data analysis software such as Python and Spark to extract valuable insights.
• Define ambiguous business challenges, gather pertinent data, build predictive models, and develop prompt, actionable recommendations.
• Design and conduct experiments to validate hypotheses and provide data-informed guidance to stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with peers and stakeholders across departments such as Planning, Design, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Finance, and Operations to assess various business opportunities.

• Strong experience in supply chain network design, particularly with addressing classical issues such as optimal distribution center locations and capacities.
• Expertise in routing optimization, considering factors like demand, truck capacities, and cost control.
• Necessary technical skills include integer programming, routing, facility location modeling, and prescriptive analytics, which are typically less common in standard data science roles focusing primarily on machine learning.
• Depth of knowledge in optimization techniques and prescriptive analytics is crucial, rather than simply predictive modeling or typical machine learning applications.
• A degree in industrial engineering or a related field is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with modeling constraints that encompass vendor locations, transportation costs, and facility expenses is essential.
• Experience within relevant fields such as supply chain, logistics, or airline industries is advantageous.
• The position is hybrid, requiring physical presence in Dallas, TX, or Enon, OH.
