Job DescriptionThe Lead Engineer is a crucial figure within this organization, responsible for steering and guiding engineering processes under the project purview. This role requires an experienced professional adept at managing stakeholder relationships and fostering cooperation across diverse teams. Responsibilities include leading meetings, addressing technical inquiries, and conducting workshops to ensure that project goals align with design specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Lead regular meetings with Design Guardians to discuss project timelines, open actions, and ongoing issues.
- Manage Technical Queries and Design Submissions from main works contractors while ensuring all stakeholders are engaged and informed.
- Continuously assess and provide feedback on the performance of Design Guardians against established KPIs.
- Facilitate communication regarding engineering matters between contractors and relevant stakeholders.
- Engage in collaborative planning with Main Works Contractors to enhance project delivery.
- Conduct weekly operational meetings to address and resolve outstanding queries and hurdles.
- Chair technical workshops involving PW Operations, main works contractors, and Design Guardians to validate proposed engineering solutions.
- Provide engineering representation at Early Warning meetings to address issues or assign them for future resolution.
Requirements- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Effective engagement and collaboration capabilities with stakeholders.
- In-depth understanding of the design process and its commercial implications.
- A dedicated team player with excellent interpersonal and presentation abilities.
- Ability to manage and coordinate input from multiple parties effectively.
- Skilled in working to deadlines with a results-driven approach.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.
- Experience in design management is essential.
