Job DescriptionThe Financial Controller is pivotal in managing the organization's financial activities and strategic planning. This role demands an organized professional adept at multitasking and ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations. The Financial Controller will deliver essential financial insights that are crucial for informed decision-making and the long-term success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily financial operations, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Compile and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to track performance.
- Manage financial audits and ensure compliance with best practices and regulations.
- Work collaboratively with department leaders to integrate financial strategies with organizational objectives.
- Create and enforce financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance.
- Advise on financial strategies to maximize resource allocation effectively.
Requirements- Demonstrated experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar capacity, ideally within the sports or non-profit sectors.
- Deep understanding of financial management principles and prevailing regulations.
- Superior analytical abilities with a strong eye for detail and precision.
- Capability to clearly convey complex financial information in an understandable manner.
- Proficient in financial management software and Microsoft Excel.
- Possession of a professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or equivalent is highly preferred.
