Job DescriptionWe are seeking an accomplished Vice President & Enterprise Architect to define and steward the architectural vision for the wholesale banking technology stack. The incumbent will oversee Treasury, Payments, and Transaction Banking domains, driving comprehensive architectural strategy, platform design, and complex integrations. Responsibilities include steering cloud-native initiatives on AWS, championing an API-first paradigm, and collaborating with product, engineering, and vendor teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions aligned with the bank’s digital objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Create and govern reference architectures across treasury, payments, liquidity management, and transaction banking, ensuring adherence to enterprise standards and regulatory expectations.
- Lead the development of microservices-based digital platforms with event-driven integration and API-first delivery spanning core banking, treasury, and customer channels.
- Define and execute cloud strategy on AWS, prioritizing scalability, resilience, and cost efficiency.
- Orchestrate smooth integrations with surrounding systems (CRM, ERP, risk, AML/KYC, reporting) to enable cohesive end-to-end processes.
- Translate strategic business needs into tangible technical roadmaps and architectural blueprints in partnership with product, engineering, and operations stakeholders.
- Direct delivery quality across engineering, DevOps, and data analytics partners, upholding governance and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee external vendor relationships for treasury and transaction banking solutions and partnerships.
- Investigate and pilot emerging capabilities such as AI/ML, real-time analytics, and selective blockchain use cases to bolster wholesale banking strategy.
Requirements- A minimum of 10 years in financial services with deep Treasury and Transaction Banking expertise (cash management, payments, trade finance, liquidity).
- Proven track record designing large-scale, enterprise-grade architectures for banking platforms; familiarity with Finacle Treasury or similar systems is advantageous.
- Strong grasp of regulatory regimes (ISO 20022, SWIFT, PSD2, Basel III, AML/KYC) and risk/compliance considerations.
- Experience with enterprise integration patterns (APIs, event-driven architectures, ESB, iPaaS) and cloud-native design (preferably AWS).
- Proven leadership in cross-functional settings and in managing vendor relationships within a banking context.
