Job DescriptionData Engineer
In this essential role, the Data Engineer will team up with key stakeholders to architect, develop, and refine end-to-end data solutions that foster business success. This position emphasizes the creation of powerful data pipelines, consolidating diverse data sources into cohesive platforms, and enabling advanced analytics through Microsoft Fabric. Furthermore, this individual will be instrumental in transitioning data and workflows from outdated systems to modern Microsoft technologies.
Key Responsibilities- Design and maintain scalable data pipelines to fulfill business intelligence and analytical demands.
- Consolidate various data sources into a centralized data platform, enhancing data accessibility and utility.
- Execute ETL processes for efficient data transformation and processing.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ascertain data requirements and translate them into actionable technical specifications.
- Assist in the migration of data and workflows from legacy systems to contemporary Microsoft solutions.
Requirements- A Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree is beneficial.
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer, preferably within the retail or eCommerce sectors.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and/or Python for data extraction and analysis.
- Considerable experience in designing and constructing data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Knowledge of Microsoft data stack including SQL Server, Azure Data Services, Fabric, and Power BI is advantageous.
