Job DescriptionThis organization is on the lookout for a highly proficient Account Director for RWE Clinical Trials to lead initiatives within their Real World Evidence division. The role demands an individual with substantial experience in business development and client management. The ideal candidate will be pivotal in overseeing client accounts and will focus keenly on enhancing customer satisfaction through active engagement with key decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities- Steer client account management while fostering robust relationships to boost satisfaction and promote long-term collaborations.
- Achieve designated sales goals for assigned client portfolios.
- Pursue and cultivate new business opportunities in the Clinical Trials sphere, including patient recruitment and decentralized trials.
- Develop and execute strategic account plans in coordination with scientific delivery teams.
- Engage collaboratively with sales operations, finance, and various internal teams to drive successful business closures and meet revenue goals.
- Implement proactive sales tactics targeting key decision-makers within current and potential client organizations.
- Uncover and assess potential opportunities while devising customized solutions and pricing strategies that align with business needs.
- Act as the primary contact for clients through the project initiation phase, ensuring cohesive department collaboration for successful project rollouts.
- Lead and manage responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
- Craft and execute a Bid Defense strategy that is in tune with client objectives.
- Assist in the successful closure of clinical trial projects to ensure alignment with sales targets.
- Identify upselling opportunities within existing client accounts to deepen relationships.
- Promote a collaborative environment among sales, marketing, and operations to enhance the organization’s visibility within the clinical trials landscape.
Requirements- Bachelor’s degree with at least 6 years of applicable account management experience in clinical trials, RWE, or life sciences; or a GED with 9 years of relevant experience.
- Strong scientific background complemented by expertise in sales and marketing, particularly within the pharmaceutical or biotech sectors.
- Proven ability to cultivate and maintain high-level business relationships.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills essential for effective teamwork and collaboration with operations and finance teams.
- Thorough understanding of trends and requirements in Real World Evidence.
- Demonstrated track record in generating sales leads, conducting presentations, and successfully negotiating contracts.
- Familiarity with sales automation systems and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience working with teams to create strategies that align with budgetary goals and timelines.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience influencing financial decisions in prior roles.
- At least 3 years of leadership experience managing both direct and indirect cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% for business purposes, including both in-state and out-of-state travel.
