We are collaborating with an esteemed organization in the water treatment sector, recognized for its commitment to delivering exceptional services in sustainable water management. This organisation is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee a critical initiative governed by the NEC4 contract framework. The project has seen considerable expansion, which presents both challenges and opportunities that necessitate a proactive and adaptable approach. The successful candidate will navigate a complex array of stakeholders, including contractors, the supply chain, and regulatory bodies such as Ofwat and Southern Water. An in-depth understanding of commercial and contractual principles will be vital for ensuring effective management of the contract.

The focus of this role is on managing extensive pipeline infrastructure, with a projected value of approximately £200 million, alongside various environmental mitigation projects. The Senior Project Manager will supervise the design of twin tunnels and will closely coordinate with Ward and Burke for tunneling operations. Additionally, this role includes managing an external contractor responsible for constructing nine kilometers of pipeline to link the reservoir to the broader network.

• Lead the successful delivery of pipeline contracts, ensuring effective management across all facets of the project.
• Engage with a variety of stakeholders to ensure that all project specifications and requirements are met.
• Oversee program timelines and budgets, providing consistent updates to senior management.
• Implement best practices in contract management according to NEC4 standards.
• Promote collaboration among different teams and contractors to optimize project performance and efficiency.
• Proactively identify and mitigate risks through strategic planning and problem-solving.

• Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager in large-scale infrastructure initiatives, ideally with tier one contractors.
• Strong knowledge of NEC4 contracts and related obligations.
• Exceptional leadership abilities, with a track record of managing complex stakeholder interactions.
• Outstanding organizational and communication skills to facilitate teamwork across diverse groups.
• Experience in environmental mitigation projects is highly desirable.
• Relevant project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2) are preferred.
