This organization is currently undertaking a strategic expansion of its IT functions and is seeking a skilled Program Manager to lead the implementation of a new Target Operating Model (TOM) across various business and technology domains.
Job DescriptionThe chosen Program Manager will play a crucial role in the deployment of the Target Operating Model, fostering effective collaboration among multidisciplinary teams to enhance the organization’s data governance and management practices. This position is vital for furthering the company’s data strategy by focusing on best practices, the implementation of innovative tools, and the development of a strong governance framework.
Key Responsibilities- Vision & Strategy: Establish the Data Strategy Board and facilitate the definition and prioritization of the organization’s overarching data strategy.
- Organisation & Governance: Create comprehensive data governance guidelines that are applicable across the organization and clearly delineate roles and responsibilities.
- Tools & Architecture: Aid in the rollout of Google BigQuery across various sectors and support the integration of a data cataloguing tool.
- Data Management & Quality: Promote best practices for data quality management and identify opportunities for automating manual processes.
- Domain & Functional Use Cases: Collaborate in the design of advanced and cross-domain use cases while enhancing reporting capabilities, especially in preparation for SAP migration.
- Change, Upskilling & Literacy: Implement training programs for data owners and stakeholders, driving executive awareness and advocating for the adoption of data-driven practices including artificial intelligence initiatives.
Requirements- Demonstrated experience as a Program Manager or in a comparable leadership position within the field of data management.
- Thorough understanding of data governance, data management strategies, and relevant technologies.
- Exceptional organizational capabilities with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to oversee multiple priorities seamlessly.
- Strong communication skills, with a talent for engaging with various stakeholders.
- Familiarity with tools such as Google BigQuery and data cataloguing solutions.
- A background in the retail sector is highly desirable.
