We're looking for a creative, organised, and self-driven Local Marketing & Social Media Manager, with extensive knowledge of the Manchester area to bring our venues, with a focus on Manchester to life across digital channels. You’ll be the voice and lens of Pitch Manchester – capturing daily content, managing our online presence, and growing our brand across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and beyond.
Whilst you will be based in Manchester with your focus on that venue, you will also support with the wider Pitch brand social presence, by working closely with venue teams and main co marketing team to ensure content is authentic, fresh, and aligned with our brand tone and audience.
Key ResponsibilitiesContent Creation: Capture high-quality photo and video content on-site (user moments, events, product launches, staff stories, etc.)
Social Media Management: Plan, post, and manage daily content across our platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn)
Community Engagement: Respond to messages, comments, and mentions to build a loyal online community
Campaign Development: Work with marketing and events teams to develop and execute digital campaigns
Analytics & Reporting: Track performance metrics and optimise strategy based on insights
Trend Spotting: Stay on top of social trends and apply them creatively to our brand
Cross-Site Coverage: Coordinate visits and content calendars to ensure all venues are equally represented
Local Marketing: Organise in person activations with local businesses, brands and wider community. Stay on top of and search for any opportunities to reach the immediate audience around Pitch Manchester.
RequirementsExperience: 3-5 years in the trenches of social media, ideally with a global hospitality or lifestyle brand.
Experience in reaching local audiences through various physical and digital activations and channels.
Photography and videography skills (iPhone or DSLR/mirrorless) that optimises for short form content.
Proficient in editing tools like CapCut, Adobe Suite, Canva, or similar
Confident, personable, and great with people – able to direct talent and capture candid moments
Deep understanding of platform-specific best practices and trends, and ability to showcase various examples of leading on effective content pieces.
Passionate about sports culture, or lifestyle/hospitality brands. An interest in golf is a plus but by no means essential.
A network of local contacts that can be leveraged for activation and exposure opportunities.
