Forsyth Barnes are recruiting for a HSQE Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our integrated Quality Management System (QMS) and Health & Safety (H&S) framework.
This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with legal obligations, ISO standards, and industry best practices across all sites and operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Management (ISO 9001:2015)
Maintain and enhance the company’s ISO 9001:2015 certified QMS.
Lead internal and external audits, ensuring readiness and compliance.
Develop and monitor quality KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure all operational procedures and documentation are current, accessible, and effectively implemented.
Compliance and Risk Management
Ensure compliance with UK H&S legislation (e.g., HASAWA, CDM Regulations, Fire Safety Order).
Manage contractor compliance, including RAMS reviews and permit-to-work systems.
Support ESG and sustainability initiatives, including environmental risk assessments.
Stakeholder Engagement
Act as the primary point of contact for all QHSE matters.
Liaise with clients, residents, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
Prepare and present reports to senior leadership and external stakeholders.
RequirementsProven experience (5–10 years) in a QHSE role, ideally within property, construction, or facilities management.
NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) is required.
Experience within residential property management or block management.
ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor qualification is desirable.
Membership of IOSH (TechIOSH or higher) is desirable.
Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and UK H&S legislation.
Familiarity with ESG reporting and sustainability frameworks.
Demonstrated ability to design and implement practical, long-term solutions that enhance operational safety, quality, and environmental performance.
Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills.
Ability to respond effectively to changing regulations, technologies, or operational challenges.
