Job DescriptionWe are collaborating with this organization to identify a Data Migration Lead who will be responsible for overseeing and managing data migration projects from inception to completion. This pivotal role is essential for ensuring the smooth transition of data between systems with minimal disruption. The ideal candidate will be tasked with developing strategies, providing technical guidance, and maintaining data integrity throughout the entire migration process.
Key Responsibilities- Design and execute comprehensive data migration strategies to facilitate successful data transitions.
- Engage with stakeholders to grasp their data requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Manage the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to uphold data quality.
- Lead post-migration data validation and testing initiatives to verify data accuracy.
- Construct detailed project plans, outlining timelines, milestones, and potential risks.
- Deliver ongoing support and resolve issues during and after the migration phase.
- Create documentation and reports to effectively communicate project progress to management.
- Mentor junior team members on best practices in data migration processes.
Requirements- Proven experience in data migration, with a solid grasp of ETL processes.
- Proficiency in data management tools and software.
- Familiarity with database architecture and data warehousing principles.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective interaction with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with scripting languages is a plus.
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is desirable.
