Job DescriptionWe’re seeking an energetic Central Operations Manager to head up our Central Ops function, a key role bridging Head Office, Retail, and Distribution Centre teams. This position is ideal for someone who excels at driving efficiency, removing roadblocks, and guiding teams to success. You’ll play a central part in shaping the way our supply chain runs.
Key ResponsibilitiesLead & Develop the Team: Set direction, coach for impact, and run effective 1:1s and performance reviews.
Oversee Daily Operations: Ensure priorities are clear, delivery is consistent, and the department runs smoothly.
Drive Projects & Improvements: Manage urgent queries, process reviews, and improvement initiatives with precision.
Build the Playbook: Create effective SOPs and apply Lean Six Sigma principles to streamline workflows and drive first-time query resolution.
Own CRM Workflows: Use CRM platforms to track, prioritise, and resolve operational queries with visibility and accountability.
Connect the Dots: Align priorities across HO, Retail, and DCs, managing stakeholders and keeping communication sharp.
Investigate & Resolve: Lead root-cause investigations into operational issues and ensure corrective actions stick.
Use Data That Matters: Advanced Excel skills (SUMIFS, XLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, pivots, Power Query) are essential; SQL is a bonus.
RequirementsProven experience in retail or warehouse operations – you understand how things work on the ground.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
Confidence in managing stakeholders across all levels of the business.
Experience using CRM or ticketing systems to improve service levels.
A solid grasp of Lean Six Sigma principles.
Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and commercial awareness.
Advanced Excel skills; SQL knowledge is a plus.
A proactive, self-starter attitude — you know when to act and when to escalate.
A full UK driver’s licence and willingness to travel to DCs.
Right to work in the UK.
