Forsyth Barnes are working with a large gaming organisation who have an exciting new opportunity for a Technical Delivery Manager to manage the day-to-day workload of a small delivery team in activities ranging from scrum ceremonies and refinement sessions through to reviewing operational performance/stability and managing production issues as and when they occur.
This opportunity will suit an experienced “hands-on” Technical Project Manager who is bright, enthusiastic, organised, mature outlook and fast learning to join their growing team and maintain their efficient project delivery record and, if required, to put forward improvement suggestions.
Technical Delivery Manager – Responsibilities:
Manage the delivery of projects as well as manage and support a small delivery team demonstrating excellent project control and communicating at the highest levels with all stakeholders.
Responsible for detailed planning of all stages of the projects from inception, gate approval, development, testing, certification and delivery.
Responsible for tracking and ensuring delivery to budget.
Manage both the dependencies and the interfaces between projects, channels and platforms, as well as the risks and issues jeopardising your teams' success, ensuring that the appropriate resources are utilised, stakeholders are regularly informed and that the consequences of any actions are clearly understood
Proactively interact with delivery teams internally and externally, identifying problems, creating and implementing solutions.
Provide regular project status reports to relevant stakeholders, both internal and external.
Mentor and support members of the delivery team (Quality Assurance Engineers & Developers).
Technical Delivery Manager – Required Skills/Experience:
Proven experience of delivering software delivery services to B2B's
Technical knowledge of platforms (e.g Java, SQL)
Strong stakeholder management skills with multiple external suppliers/service providers.
Knowledge and experience of enterprise level project management
Professional and flexible project management skills, track record of being able to motivate and direct project teams to deliver results
Demonstrable experience of managing projects of a complex and technical nature
