Forsyth Barnes are working alongside an expanding business within the Retail industry who are currently seeking a Infrastructure Doman Architect. The successful candidate will reporting to the IT Solutions Director and working closely with the IT leadership group, project teams and business leaders.
You will be driven by a passion for creating quality technology solutions to challenging business problems. You will use a variety of architectural techniques and extensive experience building secure infrastructure to collaborate with interested parties, foster a shared understanding and assure the quality of solution architecture. The role must set the standard for architectural contribution to solution design and is critical to the overall delivery of the IT investment Programmes.
The role will work with business leaders, internal teams, and 3rd party partners to build solutions and products as well as iteratively improve the overall infrastructure environment. The role will be critical to maintaining momentum in Technology Lifecycle Management, playing a pivotal role in forming the programmes objectives and developing the three-year planning horizon.
Infrastructure Domain Architect – Responsibilities:
Develop an understanding of the evolving business needs and ensure infrastructure delivery is aligned to meet these operational and strategic goals
Build a comprehensive understanding of the entire infrastructure environment over time producing clear, unambiguous, and maintainable artefacts for its ongoing management
Work within the standards, policies and guidelines that inform the selection, development, and implementation of infrastructure across the enterprise
Maintain a strong awareness of current and emerging trends, architectural techniques, and technology advancements – provide thought leadership
Infrastructure Domain Architect – Required Experience:
Extensive experience as technical architect delivering solutions
A proven ability to establish standards for secure and robust infrastructure provision and management and driving the demand for alignment
Technology breadth covering all aspects of Infrastructure and security including workplace systems, server infrastructure, virtualisation, public cloud, networking, firewalling, zero trust principles, prevention and detection controls, software defined technologies, configuration management, passive infrastructure etc
Advanced experience across complex and diverse technologies that include:
Microsoft Azure; IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS
Cisco switching and routing
Operating Systems inc. Windows Server and desktop, Linux etc
Authentication technologies (Azure AD, AD)
