Title: Head of Development/Game Frameworks
Location: Burton on Trent – 2 days a week required in office Salary: £80-85K + BenefitsContact: harry.bartlett@forsythbarnes.com     Brief Overview:  
 
Forsyth Barnes are working with a large gaming organisation who have an exciting new opportunity for a Head of Game Frameworks will provide technical and people leadership for the Game Frameworks development team.
You will be Responsible for the development life cycle and continued support of all game frameworks and toolsets used for game development. As well as Working with internal customers (game development, game design, product mgmt. and technology), maintain and deliver the game framework roadmap.
 
Head of Development/Game Frameworks – Responsibilities:
Provide technical and people leadership of the framework team
Maintain and deliver framework roadmap that meets the needs of internal customers (games development, games design, product mgmt. and technology)
Provide up to date documentation, training, and technical support to consumers of the game frameworks
Coordinate with product mgmt. and platform development to ensure new product features and changes are aligned
Maintain existing frameworks ensuring updates are backward compatible to minimise impact on legacy games
Deliver new framework that provides a develop once, deploy everywhere philosophy, including retail and interactive channels
Maintain and develop build tool chain and supporting toolset
Drive innovation through exhaustive research of new technologies that will bring efficiency and new features to game development

 
Head of Development/Game Frameworks – Required Skills/Experience:
Software development team leadership
C++/JavaScript
DirectX/OpenGL
Pixi.JS
Windows development environment
Build automation, e.g., Jenkins
Source management, e.g., Bitbucket/GIT
