Brief Overview:

We are currently working on an exclusive basis with an incredibly exciting E-money platform FinTech start-up, who are looking to expand their UK business. The mission of the business is to provide consumers with an all-encompassing platform to easily pay, exchange and receive money, with global capabilities and all of your accounts in one place. We are currently seeking a Head of Compliance & MLRO to build out the compliance function and work with the FCA to obtain a UK E-money licence.

The Head of Compliance & MLRO will be working involved in making applications to obtain the relevant licences, creating and describing compliance frameworks and be the point of contact responsible for all compliance matters of the UK operations. This person will have the opportunity to build out and hire for the Compliance team as the business continues to grow.

This is a crucial role for the organisation as it will be the first of its kind in the UK and will ultimately be responsible for the business achieving its goals that are dependent on the successful application of their E-money licence from the FCA. The individual will need to have the autonomy to work effectively in an environment that doesn't believe in micromanaging, and have a hands-on approach to the role given that you will be joining an ambitious, fast paced start-up/scale-up.

Head of Compliance & MLRO Requirements:

– Proven experience in MLRO position to obtain E-money licence essential
– Background working in a start up / scale up / SME
– Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural, global organisation
– Hands on, autonomous and methodical work style
