The organization manages services within the Retail, Hospitality and Motion picture industries, supplying voice and data communications, network monitoring, internet and WIFI and now digital imaging solutions.
Design, build, and maintain back-end resources with a priority on extensibility and scalability.
Create high quality modules and services that will be heavily integrated in both new and existing projects.
Design, build, and maintain responsive web applications with priority on a positive user experience, multi-browser compatibility, and scalability.
Create clean and reusable components to be used across multiple pages and/or projects.
Write clean and modular code that adheres to standards, minimizes technical debt, and improves code coverage.
Keep quality at the forefront of all work that is performed.
Assist in maintaining old projects by working on bug reports, creating new features, or migrating legacy modules to Node.js.
Monitor HelpDesk tickets and create issues that help track improvements that are needed on projects.
Perform occasional self-evaluation on personal skillset and work on improving and learning new concepts and technologies.
Perform all duties and tasks as assigned in order to fulfill departmental and business needs.
Deep understanding of React, Node.js, and TypeScript with experience in implementing these languages in software development with respect to practices (TDD/CI), paradigms (Functional/OOP), and common design patterns.
General knowledge of Linux and the use of terminal commands, process management, and networking concepts.
Experience with version control systems using Git and Git-based repository services (GitHub/GitLab).
Knowledge on the Perl 5 language and have the capacity to translate and support existing Perl scripts and modules.
Experience with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) through the creation of optimized queries, utilization of normalized schema designs, and the adoption of ORMs.
