About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Commercial Manager to join a leading sports rights holder. This role is pivotal in driving revenue growth, building strategic partnerships, and leveraging licensing opportunities to maximize brand and commercial success. You will play a key role in shaping the future of the organization by working with renowned retailers, managing licensing agreements, and delivering exceptional commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Licensing Revenue Growth:
- Develop and execute strategies to grow licensing revenue across multiple product categories and markets.
- Identify and secure new licensing opportunities while optimizing existing agreements for increased profitability.
Retailer Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with major retailers
- Collaborate with retail partners to align brand objectives and drive successful product launches and campaigns.
Sales and Business Development:
- Leverage years of sales experience within the sports retail sector to create and implement strategies that drive sales growth and brand visibility.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with key partners to ensure favourable terms and long-term success.
Market Analysis and Strategy:
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify trends, opportunities, and threats within the sports and licensing sectors.
- Develop data-driven strategies to enhance the organization's market position and maximize ROI.
Leadership and Collaboration:- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver commercial initiatives on time and within budget.
- Work closely with marketing, product development, and legal teams to ensure seamless execution of licensing and retail strategies.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Proven track record in driving licensing revenue and managing commercial partnerships.
- Deep understanding and experience working within retail, particularly with major sports retailers.
- Significant sales experience in the sportswear or related industry, with expertise in negotiation and client management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and apply insights strategically.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
