Head of Finance

Overview:
Forsyth Barnes have partnered with a sports organisation in the North-West of England on the search for a Head of Finance. This role will be responsible for ensuring effective day-to-day financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, banking, invoicing, debt collection, creditor payments, tax, audit, cashflow, and payroll.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily finance operations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Enhance financial controls and processes.
• Lead budget preparation and support budget holders.
• Provide accurate financial reports to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with financial reporting, VAT, and tax regulations.
• Manage payroll compliance and supervise the finance team.
• Approve invoice payments and contribute to improving service efficiency.
• Adhere to safeguarding policies and promote a healthy work environment.

Key Requirements:

• ACA or ACCA qualified with 5+ years PQE
• Sports industry experience required
• Experience in line management, financial reporting, and Capex projects.
• Strong communication, analytical, and Excel skills.
• Team player with high attention to financial detail.
• Flexible, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure, including evenings and weekends, with travel between sites.
