JOB Requirements:
- Experience of leading a team and a proven track record of developing staff
- Experience of working within the operational side of finance.
- Attention to detail, ensuring precision and accuracy in recording and reconciling financial transactions.
- Time Management, efficiently managing multiple tasks, deadlines, and priorities.
- Good communication skills and able to build positive, constructive relationships with internal stakeholders
- Strives for continual improvement.
- Proactive with a willingness to learn
- Ethical Standards, maintaining the highest ethical standards and confidentiality in handling financial information
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong understanding of logistics processes and best practices. −
- Good understanding of customs processes within the UK and internationally is preferred but not essential.
JOB Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing all cash in and out of the business, ensuring Finance Assistants are processing transactions in line with their internal SLAs
- Oversight of Accounts Payable, driving best practice to ensure we are paying suppliers within the appropriate payments terms and enhancing internal reporting to demonstrate performance against SLAs.
- Working with HR conduct a high level review of the monthly payroll and pension submissions to ensure these are made on time.
- Developing and maintaining a learning plan for the apprentices to ensure they are fulfilling the requirements of their course.
- Management of treasury back office, ensuring adhoc treasury requests are processed within internal SLAs.
- Oversight of Bank reconciliation and suspense reconciliation produced by the Finance assistants, working with business lines to ensure any items are cleared down on timely basis.
- Recording of operational risk events with the risk function ensuring appropriate process and controls are in place to prevent reoccurrence.
