Title: Director of Architecture (Cloud migration)
Location: New Jersey or Texas, preferable - Open to remote based with travel.

Brief Overview:
Forsyth Barnes are currently working with a lead retail organization based in the USA who are seeking a Director of Architecture. As Director of Architecture, you will be responsible for leading a team of 20+ professionals through a cloud migration project moving from legacy system to the cloud. You will be responsible for managing an onshore and offshore team whilst managing 3rd parties. The role is accountable for the successful provision of architecture skills, capacity, and practices leading the architecture function. This is a great opportunity for someone is motivated to continually work their way up the ladder and progress their career with the opportunity to take a step into a Vice President role down the line.
Director of Architecture - Responsibilities:
- Prepare architecture solution design by ensuring that the end-to-end solution is fit for purpose, meet the needs of business, the agreed requirements and are both pragmatic and supportive of the strategic architecture direction.
- Project requirement assessment and technical solutions/blueprint.
- Prepare solution options for architecture design.
- Makes technology choices, supervises the quality and implementation of designs, developing high performance architects within the organisation.
- Assignment and delivery of overall projects from a design and architecture perspective.
- Report key architecture decisions, risks, and implications to project delivery, risk, and governance teams.
Director of Architecture - Requirements:
- Experience managing cloud architecture and migrating legacy system (GCP exp preferred)
- Must have leadership experience, ideally leading teams 20+
- Someone who is driven and motivated and has a can do attitude
- Experience managing 3rd party vendors and onshore/offshore teams
- Retail experience would be preferable but not necessary
