about the roleTitle: Data Engineering ManagerSalary: Up to $160,000 + Bonus and benefitsLocation: RemoteSector: RetailContact: kershia.broughton@forsythbarnes.comWe have partnered with a well established global Retailer who is currently looking to hire a strong leader for a team of highly talented Data Engineers and contractors to help with the development of Data pipelines, defining infrastructure, frameworks and governance which will provide the analytics team with the foundation required to drive the business to success.The team will grow and develop tools for real-time and batch analytical processing, ETL with this role taking ownership of the team and responsibility for planning and reviewing work through code reviews.Excitingly, this team are working on one of the biggest Mixed Media projects and will give yourself a great opportunity to work closely with key stakeholder's and 3rd party consultancies to make a positive impact and drive innovation.Key Responsibilities:
- You will oversee data design, creation, architecture and key strategies moving forwards.
- Implement automation of jobs and testing and perform code quality analysis for the team, correcting where needed.
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholder's, product, data science and consultancies to roll out key projects.
- Participate and lead white boarding sessions.
- Ensure you manage and develop internal standards for data engineering and allocate resources where needed.
- Manage a small team of FTE and global contractors.
Key Requirements:- Minimum 5 years of experience designing and developing cloud data engineering solutions, including data cleansing, automation, data processing and more.
- Proven experience mentoring junior team members and code reviews.
- Tech skills needed - Python, PySpark, SQL, Snowflake, CI/CD, DevOps, AirFlow.
- Previous experience in digital marketing data and Retail Media experience, including key metrics and assessments. Working on key projects across Retail advertisement successfully.
