An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Software Architect to join a well-established and growing business. We are seeking an experienced E-Commerce Software Architect to design scalable, secure, and high-performing E-commerce solutions. This role involves leading technical strategy, mentoring engineers, and ensuring seamless integration of third-party services while collaborating across teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement technical architecture for E-commerce applications, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Lead the integration of third-party services such as payment gateways, ERP, CRM, and digital marketing platforms.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the E-commerce engineering team, promoting best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends in E-commerce.
- Ensure compliance with UK regulations (e.g., UK-GDPR, PCI-DSS).

Required Experience & Skills:
- 10+ years in software development, with 3+ years in an architect or technical lead role.
- Proven experience designing scalable and secure transactional E-commerce websites.
- Strong knowledge of C#, Java, .NET, JavaScript, and frameworks like AngularJS.
- Experience with API development (SOAP, RESTful) and databases (e.g., MS SQL Server, Oracle Endeca).
- Expertise in web performance optimization and secure development practices (OWASP).
- Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MS SQL Server) and document-oriented databases (e.g., Oracle Endeca).
